Although increasing used in adult and paediatric populations, the use of video laryngoscopy in a neonatal setting has not been extensively researched. This article describes a study showing that intubation of a manikin head by medical students is more successful using video assisted technology than traditional direct vision. Subsequent intubations were re-assessed to see whether students who had previously used video laryngoscopy were less likely to succeed at intubation using direct view.en
